Why Mental Health Matters to Driverseat #BellLetsTalk

On January 28th, 2021, it’s Bell Let’s Talk Day. Bell’s #BellLetsTalk campaign is an annual cause to raise awareness and challenge the stigma around mental health and mental illness in Canada. At Driverseat, we are advocating for mental health awareness by engaging in discussions about its importance and taking action to promote a positive, lasting change.

For every post interaction on the following social platforms, Bell Canada will donate 5 cents.

  • Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Tiktok
For each view that the official Bell Let’s Talk video gets, 5 cents will be donated towards mental health initiatives
  • Twitter
Bell Canada will donate 5 cents for each tweet posted using the hashtag #BellLetsTalk
  • Text messages/phone calls
For every text/call made by a Bell wireless customer, 5 cents will be donated towards mental health initiatives

Driverseat is committed to supporting its staff in all areas of mental health. We stand behind initiatives that fuel movements like #endthestigma and lead by example in the workplace by supporting our team members every step of the way. Driverseat encourages employees to be expressive and candid about their mental state so that necessary help like facilitating resources, ensuring anonymity, and paying attention to what they are saying can be provided.

At Driverseat, our people are our biggest achievement. We must provide each individual with the opportunity to tell their story while letting them know that it’s okay to not be okay. At Driverseat, we live by the motto “out-care the competition,” where caring for our people and promoting their mental health is one of our top priorities!

Our team acknowledges the importance of finding the optimal work/life balance. To do this, it is important that we are able to recognize and identify signs of stress, anxiety, and other psychological problems. Some things to consider are:

  • Sleep deprivation
  • Changes in your eating pattern
  • Feelings of anxiousness, having panic attacks, being depressed
  • Difficulties in productivity
  • Increase in substance use

Our goal in 2021 is to reach more people with the #BellLetsTalk campaign on social platforms so that we can spread awareness about the mental health challenges that people face every day and make a difference that will last!

Use the links below to access the Bell Let’s Talk social media accounts where you can do your part to #endthestigma by engaging with the content and sharing it with your friends and family so they can do the same. Every action counts!
